Caran d'Ache Limited Edition Artist Collection Balaji Solid Silver Roller Pen
Caran d'Ache Limited Edition Artist Collection Balaji Solid Silver Roller Pen
The Limited Edition Balaji: The Supreme God Collectors have already had the opportunity to appreciate the inventiveness of Edouard Jud on the Divinities theme with the Buddha, Ganesh and Shiva Limited Editions. Now Caran d Ache has called on him to add another piece to the Artiste Collection: Balaji. In creating this model, he has been particularly inspired by his unforgettable trip to the Tirupati temple in India, one of the most visited sacred sites in the world. Lord Balaji is the reincarnation of Vishnu, the Hindu God. He is the Lord who washes away the sins of the world and symbolizes goodness, the one who grants all the wishes of the faithful. Vishnu appears in the form of Balaji in the famous Hindu temple that stands on the seventh hill at Tirumala in India. According to legend, a murti (a divine spirit) inhabits the temple and will remain there throughout the present age (Kalyuga) for the enlightenment of humanity. This limited edition reveals the expertise of the Caran d Ache master craftsmen who have produced 108 Balaji fountain pens and 108 roller pens in solid silver. A key number in Indian tradition and represents the 108 different names for Lord Balaji. 10 fountain pens and 10 roller pens are sculpted in solid gold. These sumptuous creations are produced entirely by hand. They are truly magnificent examples of the goldsmith s art. Jud was so inspired at the temple that he sculpted a special solid gold Balaji set with 171 Top Wesselton brillinant cut diamonds VVS, totalling 1,5 carats, two baguette cut rubis representing the tilak surrounded by a rhodium coating. These pieces are made upon request numbered up to 8 only. Each writing instrument in the Artiste Collection is part of a limited edition, entirely created by hand - a commitment to creating truly exceptional pieces.
