It has been a long year yet went through so fast, it was difficult but we learnt so much and became much stronger and more human than ever and even though we were in lockdown I think we felt closer than ever. Yes we were afraid, uncertain, felt so much pain, we cried, screamed and went through a rollercoaster of emotions but during those moments (and still are) but we also helped ourselves and others in so many different ways. I personally used most of the time of forced lockdown to work on a few personal issues I had been avoiding for years; it was a time to work on myself and heal. I must admit I see life in a very different way now and every day I accept the amalgam of light and shadows inside of me with an open heart and this is what really changed my perspective of life today. To live with an open heart, to remember that the essence of our true self is LOVE; forgive, heal and feel the depths of your emotions and reflect this divine love and light to each other!

As a result, for more than 9 months I dedicated myself to create a new collection of 9 unique gem sculptures inspired in our “HEART”. I am glad to present you to the very first piece of this collection titled “Balance“, carved and faceted in translucent rock crystal. Even though it might look as ice (cold), it is meant to show how I want my heart to be, clear and transparent with myself and others. The Heart is protected by two metal wings in gold vermeil (all hand hammered) showing the duality inside all of us; good and evil, light and shadow but with a conscious of creating balance in your life, not suppressing your good and not supressing your bad for one cannot exist without the other therefore embracing them equally.
