The theme of the spider's web runs throughout the design of this unique smoking set: entirely hand-made with egg and dart borders of gold vermeil, an intarsia of lapis lazuli rests between a gold vermeil spider's web decorated with a motif of bare branches. The wood lined interior is decorated with a large spider made of lapis and vermeil set on the inside of the hinged lid. Together with an ashtray of large proportions, depicting a bare branch with a spider web cast between, with inlaid sections of lapis lazuli, with a cigar rest placed on either side, measuring 36 x 19 x 13cm; together with a cigar cutter, of oval outline, having inlaid sections of lapis lazuli in the same spider web theme, length 6 cm
